		<description>Duma Siran is a young and talented cantonese guqin player. She has been recommended to join the 2009 Jiuxian Artists in Residence program by Professors Feng Su &amp; Jia Yun from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. She composed one piece especially for Jiuxian Garden Village, called &quot;Singing the Shadows of Jiuxian's Mountains&quot;. This song portrays the local landscape and the rural life. 		<description>Tim Madeira tries provide understanding of China's history, through a sculpture, where wood joins a number of Ming pieces found in the village of Jiuxian, on a contemporary approach. 		<description>Rui Pinto Gon&#231;alves constructs a set of great circles of stone. Seen from outside they will be pieces of art works, but at the same time, by sitting on them, these will be nature and Jiuxian contemplation areas. The meaning of this work is reversed by understanding its overall content. This installation takes place behind the Health Centre.
